ShinsungHwa: Visualizing the Hidden Soul Energy of Anonymous Healers (2020)

What is ShinsungHwa?
ShinsungHwa is a unique form of spiritual art where drawings emerge through spontaneous, flowing movements. Artists tap into their subject’s energy and let Qi(氣) guide their hands, creating geometric patterns that serve as a universal language.
An Explanation of the Anonymous Healer’s ShinsungHwa
Over the years of creating ShinsungHwa paintings, I’ve met all kinds of people who commission my work. Those who work in the spiritual realm always fascinate me—there are so many different approaches to the spiritual world. Meeting the woman behind this particular ShinsungHwa was one of those memorable encounters.
Her ‘spiritual core’ revealed a brilliant silver ‘symbol of light.‘ From somewhere beyond, a ‘spiral energy’ pattern flows downward, cascading to her shoulders like graceful willow branches. This represents the supportive energy from spiritual realms that helps her in her healing work.
A diamond-shaped symbol rests on her forehead—a mark of her esoteric perception. Another diamond appears at the very bottom, beneath her feet, showing how her healing influence extends into the world around her.
But there’s also a pink-tinted area on her right shoulder that suggests some transferred issues from her healing work. Similar messages appear as symbols scattered throughout the ShinsungHwa. The same thing happens with the ShinsungHwa themselves—energy from whoever commissions the work can transfer over, making purification just as important as the creation process itself.
