Why Negative Energy Appears in ShinsungHwa and Its Meaning

The Process of Creating ShinsungHwa and My Role

I never know what the finished ShinsungHwa will look like. When I begin creating, I’m more like an observer watching a process guided by divine intelligence. My only job is to help my body express the results as clearly as possible.

It’s not that I have zero personal views or judgments about the subject or object I’m drawing. Whether I’m aware of it or not, my own perspective inevitably comes through. So even when I try not to have expectations about the outcome, some level of expectation naturally arises.

What amazes me every time is when results emerge that have nothing to do with my opinions or various preconceptions. These accumulated experiences of ShinsungHwa being drawn purely by divine intelligence, free from my small thoughts, have shaped who I am today.

Focusing on Sacred Essence, But Sometimes Questions Arise

True to its name, I focus on drawing the sacred essence of my subjects. However, sometimes images emerge that feel distant from what I consider “sacred imagery.” In the early days of practicing ShinsungHwa, these phenomena really puzzled me.
“Why do these twisted, chaotic, and scattered energy flows get drawn?”

The Multi-layered Energy Structure of Existence

Our energy is incredibly diverse and exists in multiple overlapping layers. There are positive energies, but negative-feeling energies exist too. Of course, all energy is originally one, but various causes can make it appear positive or negative. ShinsungHwa reveals one aspect of this complex energy structure.

The energy structure that emerges in the drawing is often the most representative or the most important energy for the subject at that moment. Rarely, negative energy may surface to warn of or alert about the subject’s special circumstances. I don’t determine these criteria. They’re decided through automatic actions connected to spiritual energy – through the guidance of divine intelligence.

Why Negative Energy Emerges

Though I strive to draw sacred qualities, sometimes images emerge that don’t feel that way. Most of these energies carry important clues about the subject’s spiritual growth and maturity. Divine intelligence shows us these clues. Therefore, we need to step back from binary judgments of “good” or “bad” and develop the insight to see life’s totality and flow from a broader perspective.

The Ultimate Meaning of ShinsungHwa: Balance, Harmony, and Love

Our lives are complex and three-dimensional, not simple. “Darkness can seem like light when compared to an even deeper darkness, while light can seem like darkness next to something even brighter.”

ShinsungHwa begins not from my will, but from surrendering to divine intelligence. Therefore, our attitude toward accepting and understanding its results must also be filled with balance, harmony, and love. Because divine intelligence itself is balance, harmony, and love.
